Add garlic and salt to food processor, pulsing to mince the garlic. Add the chickpeas, olive oil and lime juice. Process for 30 seconds, then add curry powder and water. Process for 1 ½ minutes.
Taste and adjust the salt if needed. If you would like the hummus a bit thinner, you can add 1 or 2 additional tablespoons of water.
