Apple Sandos
Ingredients
- 1 apple whole
Optional Toppings:
- avocado
- hummus
- nut butter
- Tahini
- hemp seeds
- chia seeds
- pumpkin seeds
- pecans chopped
- walnuts chopped
- cashews chopped
- Brazil nuts chopped
- dried fruit
Directions
- Wash an apple and slice into approximately 1 cm slices. Remove core with a paring knife and slather with your favorite toppings.
Notes
For when there's no time to prepare an elaborate meal and just want to eat something...well, something your 4-year-old would eat.
Tip: Always aim to have the presence of protein and fat to make this a legit, small but satisfying meal. Nut butter + seeds, avocado + hemp seeds, tahini + sliced dates are a few of our favorite combos!
