We know this will be the hardest part for a lot of you and we love our wine, too! That said, alcohol is a toxin and can negatively affect your hormones, mood, sleep, gut microbiome, and more. So we’d love for you to try cutting it out for 20 days and see how you feel! If you choose to resume drinking alcohol after P20, we encourage you to do so moderately and mindfully.
Do I need to give up alcohol on P20?

I actually did dry January and as it was sooo long, 31 days. But I actually lost my appetite for alcohol after that. And I have always enjoyed drinking. It was easier for me to do when it was by itself. Just a suggestion for someone that is thinking about it.

Thanks for your thoughts, Catherine! It’s so true…we tend to lose our appetite for alcohol (and frankly, sugar) after we’ve taken a break and created new habits.

I also find that when I find a substitute like hot tea or kombucha it becomes my new beverage I can look forward to after dinner that signals it’s time to relax 🙂 So for anyone struggling – try finding a nice herbal tea or a golden tea latte after dinner to cozy up with!
