Erin – last year, I spent days in a motel while working on a project. I tried to save money by eating breakfast at the motel, but generally the options were a carby, sugary mess. Since I had a fridge in my room, I brought a bunch of hardboiled eggs, and ate one or two of them each morning for breakfast with a banana or apple, provided by the motel. It was just enough, and much better than if I’d baked my own waffle and drowned it in syrup. In the past we’ve always discussed making a personal trail mix to bring along as well. With a little planning, you can bring with you enough stuff to eat better!
