Hi all!
My name is Beth. I am introducing myself late b/c I have been a bit slower to get organized, but didn’t want to miss the live program. I started today instead of yesterday. I did P20 some years ago on the recommendation of friends, but I didn’t engage much and mostly just used the recipe resources.

I have had great success with feeling good and losing weight while doing Whole30 (and eating a diet that adheres very closely to W30 principles…sorry- I am not trying to talk about W30, but just explain where I am coming from), but I prefer to a lot eat less meat than most “paleo” diets seem to consist of (certainly less than I have found works for me on W30). I have also found that my body is able to tolerate some gluten-free grains and legumes, but I get nervous about integrating them in (worried I will eat too much or that they are not the healthiest options) and so I have fallen into an all-or-nothing trap. (During quarantine it’s been pretty much “all the things” regardless of how they make me feel after, including much more alcohol than I’d normally drink ;).

The reason I am drawn to PN/P20 is to find a more long-term/sustainable way to be and to get some support doing that. I know it’s a life-long process, but I am always looking for new tools and ideas :). I am not a particularly skilled cook in terms of technique, but my husband and I try to cook a lot and love trying new recipes. I have a super-busy job that has been mostly (although not exclusively) at home for the last two months, and I am nervous about it transitioning back to “mostly not at home.” I have a 7 year-old son and a daughter who will be 3 next month. I want to model a healthy and happy relationship with food to them as well.

Nice to “meet” you all!
