Hi Emily, Yay! So excited for you and your husband! This is such an important time for you to take care of yourself as if you are already pregnant. Like Lia mentioned, adequate sleep (at least 8 hours each night), keeping stress levels low, staying active and focusing on nutrient-dense food whenever your body gives you a hunger cue is important. Also, make sure to stay hydrated! Are you already on a prenatal vitamin? If not, now is the time to get on one. We love MegaFoods Baby + Me and Nordic Naturals DHA, Metagenics Prenatal packets and GOOP “The Mother Load”. We get lots of questions around alcohol and caffeine when trying to conceive. Studies show that high levels of caffeine and alcohol can influence hormone levels which could lead to fertility issues so we recommend keeping both to a minimum (or eliminating). Hope this helps!
